How to send private text messages without showing your number?

Hiding your phone number when sending text messages will allow you to keep your identity completely private and anonymous. At present, the only way to hide your phone number when texting is to download a third-party application which gives users phone numbers for texting.
Open Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone and search for a private texting app using keywords “private text message”.

Download CoverMe, Open it and Sign up.

Enter “Contacts” and Tap “Add a Private Phone Number”.

Enter an American or Canadian area code to search for numbers.

Pick a number you like best on the list.

Then you can start texting.
Texting with CoverMe using a new number, you can hide your primary number and stay private without revealing your identity. The messages are highly encrypted from prying eyes. Disappearing messaging is also available for more secure texting.
